Map My Land™	Quickly becoming the industry leader for property mapping software. They are constantly updating their product with new tools. Our experience with their support staff was excellent. Although a new company, they are setting some new industry standards with their patent pending software features. Found the company to be very attentive to customers' special needs and requests. Their outstanding warranty and 60-day free return policy virtually eliminates any risk to the buyer and they were the only company with a BBB rating.
Net Deed Plotter®	Must remember programming coding commands (@, /, +, -, numbers, etc. rather than simple English commands. Unable to use software in any other view other than full screen. This makes it difficult to use other software programs (notepad, Word) simultaneously. After doing this comparison study, I was very disappointed in this software since it has been in business for many years and has claimed to be the industry leader.
MapDraw Deed Mapper	Tried to order online but their online ordering did not work. Emailed; they called me back on a cell phone and wanted me to give them credit card info over the phone (a little questionable). When I was finally able to order online, I received an error stating they were not sure it went through. Received an email that they did receive. Let them know of problems and also that I had tried to order before their current price increase. Within a couple of hours, received an apology and a $25.00 refund for the trouble. Great customer service! Took care of the problem quickly and fairly. Their working screen is not very professional looking. Lots of overlapping of text onto data entry fields.
Plat Pronto	Bought software and received within 4-5 days. Must agree to licenses each time it is opened. Screen freezes quite often during edit features
Deed-Chek™	Bought software and received within 4-5 days. Had some trouble getting the activation code. Disliked their subscription-only concept. To keep the software, you must renew each year at additional cost. Having said that, I considered them to be second only to Map My Land™ in overall use and features.

Mr. Marshall additionally entered deed information for five various properties into

each of the programs. The results of area, square feet, perimeter and closure error

are reported below.
